Our Staff Instrumental Showcase Bands occasionally visit schools to give concerts and are always warmly welcomed by pupils and staff.
The concerts aim to be;
- an entertaining and exciting way of giving young people a basic knowledge of various instruments, what they sound like and how they work.
- a captivating musical journey through a variety of repertoire and genres from different ages and places.
- a means of inspiring and motivating young people to take up playing an instrument.
- an opportunity for young people to have a first hand experience of talking to and seeing professional musicians at work.
Concerts are given free of charge and we aim to visit most schools over a 2 year cycle. For more information or to book a visit please contact the music office.
